Our future is as bright as our faith...

General Conference is always Awesome!
The babe has been coughing for the last 4 days, pretty much non-stop. Monday was the worst, he coughed from 5:30 in the morning until nine at night with about three seconds in between coughs. By the end of the day he had deep dark circles under his eyes and we were both exhausted, me only from worrying and not being able to do much for him but rub him with oils, give him meds and love him. It was a bit of an overwhelming day because I sat in the chair holding Tyler making list of all things everyone needs and I think, when will I ever do all of this. First of all, I am NOT a shopper, I'm not sure what I am but a shopper, I am not. Jake walked out the door wearing a shoelace for a belt, Quincy's church pants are up to his knees, holes in the underwear again, face soap, church socks, shorts, shirts, shoes, science fair stuff, groceries, shopping just overwhelms me. Add basketball practices, games, scouts, meetings, weeds, garden planting, piano, homework, church callings and the list goes on and on and on and on. And so I blog to fulfill me spring resolution. I guess what I don't get done will wait until later or most likely won't get done. Quincy may have to wear shorts to church!?!
I came in the house yesterday and Tyler had a five pound block of cheese in the family room with the cheese grater. He was grating on the end table (which the grater had put many scratches in) and he said "I helping Mom." I love his help, he's so dang cute and sweet I can't ever get after him, he's just "helping." Between the scratched up end table and the piano covered in food we should be looking good in about ten years! The boys can't practice the piano unless they have some sort of food to eat after they practice each song. I tell them how many times they have to do each song and they lay out their M's (M&M's) or apple chunks, whatever it may be and after they practice a song they eat one. After they have eaten everything, lo and behold, they are done practicing. Works out real nice for them. Last night it was bananas on toothpicks for Trav, 25 slices. In the end, they will have learned how to play piano and the piano they leave with me will be covered in black filth from their hands and food and won't play a note. Oh how I love these boys!
