It's eight o'clock Friday morning and the big boys are at school and Trav is sleeping in because I'm a push over. Ty is in practicing his pano (piano) and yelling in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. I just shattered the side view mirror on the mercedes (AKA the malibu). Broc says "How do you do things like that?" Same way I hit a pile of gravel in the middle of the road, it's these children, they are so distracting. Quincy acts like it's a revelation every morning when the bus comes at the very SAME time, EVERY MORNING. This is nothing new. At 7:41, he starts panicking that he has no gum yet and then he realizes what time it is and says "can you run me to the bus stop." The bus stop is three short blocks away and the bus comes at 7:42 on the double. We get on our way to the bus stop and see the bus turning the corner, he realizes he has forgotten his science project, so I throw the car into reverse, plow into a garbage can that someone put, in my opinion, WAY to far off the curb, shattered the side mirror and chased down the bus. Fun morning. We need to be on an Intermountain Live commercial where the Mom drives her kids to the next door neighbor's house. Who would ever think that these boys can run a marathon, they can't walk to the bus stop.
Last week the boys brought friends home from school and I was well prepared with 4 loaves of whole wheat bread, peanut butter, nachos, cookies, etc. I have never seen anyone eat as much as these boys and there friends can put down. Two loaves of bread, a half box of oranges and everything else I offered them. I love to have the kids here and if they know there is lot's of food, they will come.
