Summer nights

Tonight as I write this blog I shall name the children in my yard so that someday my children will say "Oh we had such a nice Mother even though she made us do chores and needed anger management at times, she let the WHOLE neighborhood play night games every night." We have Austin, Ally, Corbin, Micheal, Duncan, Tucker, Jackson, Faith, Dixie, Belle, Marcus, Katelin, someone's little brother and his friend, Taylor, another Jackson, Nathan, Nautica, Kelton, and some cousins and strays. Counting mine, I think we are close to thirty. Someone just climbed out of the dog house, I'm not sure his name. All I can say is "I NEED A DRINKING FOUNTAIN!" I'm thinking about taking out popsicles but I'm not sure two bags is enough. The funny thing is, the boys who started all this came to my house first because they know no other Mom will let them ruin her yard, garden, trellis and grass all to keep them at her house so she can monitor everything that goes on.

Summer has been a blast so far and is going way to fast. The boys are golfing and swimming a lot. Ty is a maniac in the water and doesn't want me holding him. He is such a sweetheart. He is crawling everywhere and finally has his first tooth. He pulls himself up and can lower himself down like a pro. He might have some perception issues because he crawls a little further than required and bangs into everything. He loves to chase golf balls and suck on golf clubs. He wants real food and loves crackers.

We went to "The Happiest Place on Earth" (besides home, of course) and had so much fun. Spent a lot of time in our favorite place, frontier land, oh sooo fun! Just returned this weekend from Lake Powell , we spent Saturday cruising around on my Dad's boat. He took us clear up into the Escalante River and we explored beautiful canyons.

Anyway, I need to have some ice cream and get ready for bed but I'll say one thing first: Sometimes I give Broc a hard time because I want to see things I've never seen and visit far away places and fly on an airplane but when it all comes down to it, I love the places close by the very best. Our family would choose Disneyland and camping over any vacation. One of my favorite places on earth is Lake Powell where I have so many great memories. And, of course, the grass is the very greenest in my own backyard, where we have more fun than anywhere in the world!
