It's raining, it's pouring!

It's finally raining! Rain is almost as exciting around here as snow. We had a great week filled with lots of swimming. Every year we have to learn the sunburn lesson; that is, yes, we will get sunburned again this year if we don't wear sunscreen. It seems we have to learn this lesson each year in May or June and every year the outcome is the same, we get sunburned and then we wear sunscreen for the rest of the year.
This past week our community experienced a tragic accident, where a sweet girl was killed in a car accident. My Mom knows the family well and she says they are a strong family and they'll pull together and make it through this tough time. She said that this family will never have to regret not playing together enough. They vacationed and played a lot and the children knew they were loved. I have been thinking a lot about that and Broc and I spent some time talking about it. Both of us agreed that we also have a great time together as a family and we spend so much time together as a family. We would choose to be together more than being with anyone else, and it feels good to know that our boys would choose to spend time with us more than their friends.
We are headed on vacation soon, we are going on an exploring trip for a week in the camp trailer. We'll see where we end up and then decide if we will do it again next year. I love the thought of having the whole family and our bikes packed in the car with the trailer in tow and just taking off. The only thought I don't like is the thought of all the clean up if we make it home. We have our atlas and off we go!
